First in my basket was this Pirouette Marble Paper-
I knew just the place for it! This large frame that was purchased for a song at Michaels had sat empty long enough in my office. Although I had shared a link to a print that I was seriously considering on my Facebook page awhile back, I never bit the bullet. When I realized this paper came in the size I needed, a staggering 24'' x 36'', and was a mere $6, I couldn't hit 'add to my basket' fast enough.
Close up of the actual paper-
One word: Hallelujah! I found super affordable art that brought some color to the grey wall color but did not compete with the chevron accent wall either. Winner, Winner,
Next up, I purchased this Amate Weave Paper-
The Otomoi Indians of Mexico produce Amate paper by pounding the bark fibers of fig and mulberry trees on a wooden board and drying the sheets in the sun.
I placed the papers inside this metallic frame from Michaels-
I love the juxtaposition of the rugged, natural paper and the metallic frame.
I am so pleased with the quality and beauty of these papers. I also love that they are so affordable and really are pieces of art. This does not look like simple framed scrapbook paper...because it isn't.
Have you ordered any handmade papers and used them in your own home?
*I was in no way sponsored by Paper Mojo. I purchased these papers on my own and wanted to share them with my readers because I am really impressed by the quality and prices.
