The world is full of talent...

Between glossy design mags, incredibly talented design bloggers and a plethora of websites, like Houzz and Pinterest, inspiration for all aspects of design are easy to find these days. Almost too easy. What I mean is that I could (and often do) sit and look over hundreds of gorgeous rooms, great DIY projects and lots of pretty pictures. As a result, the ideas and inspiration I find get mumbled and I get lost in all this wonderful talent on the Internet.

And then, I stumble across someone so unique, so amazing that I become truly swept away, and I cannot get the designer and their work outta my head. Case in point...Kara Paslay of Kara Paslay Designs. Simply put, this girl is a genius at putting together effortless style...on a budget. Not only did she used to hold the world's awesomest day job (she was a Display Coordinator for Anthropologie), it's also worth mentioning that her husband is a fantastic furniture maker. Together, they come up with funky but totally livable rooms. Check out just a few of their outstanding projects-

1. Guest Room. Details found HERE Go visit her blog post to see more great pics and to read about that clever DIY headboard and wall!
2. Attic Room. Info found HERE. Check out at that book page ceiling!
3. DIY Drum Coffee Table. Instructions found HERE. Pretty sure my music-loving boyfriend would kill for this table!
4. DIY Fish-scale Wall. Info found HERE

5. DIY Jewelry Stands. More pretty pics and details HERE.

This is a teeny-tiny sampling of her work. I spent a good hour pouring over her blog and find myself bookmarking projects and rooms to visit again because she is THAT inspiring. I'm off to find something new in my house to makeover!
