Turquoise:The Color of 2010?

According to this article in The Seattle Times and Pantone, turquoise is the official color of 2010.

Turquoise is my favorite color of all time and although I have yet to incorporate it in our own home yet, I've already decided that when the times comes, our nursery will be a pale shade of turquoise (boy or girl). I find shades of blues and greens very comforting and soothing. It may seem too bold for some people, but any color can be beautiful when done right.

Here are some of my favorite turquoise spaces/accents:

*I'd like to dedicate this post to my mom, whose favorite color was also turquoise. I love you Mom and miss you everyday.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and moms-to-be out there.

  1. I love turquoise! And it's all over my house! There are so many other colors that I love and try to incorporate but at the end of the day I just always choose things in turquoise! And with so many shades it works everywhere! I have it in my living room with greens and purples, in our masterbedroom with pops of red and lots of white, and in the bathroom with dark brown and tan : )

  3. I love turquoise too! I so want a to take a old vintage sofa and have it reupholstered turquoise! I would love to have a home with tons of turquoise, green and purple, my three favorite colors of all time, now if I can just make that happen and it looks good:)

  4. I love turquoise too :-) Now you've got me thinking that I should paint my front door turquoise....

The cool thing about turquoise is that it looks great with so many other colours :-)
