Magazine Mess

Based on my previous entry regarding magazines found here, you've already seen a glimpse of the mounds of magazines that I have collected. I only subscribe to ones that I truly love, so I hate to recycle or give any away, as I find myself going back to old issues for ideas and info.

When I found this photo from MarthaStewart.com, I new I had found my inspiration-

I headed to Michael's armed with my coupons (I had to make several trips) and found some plain, basic wooden magazine holders.
With my 50% off coupons, they ended up costing $3 a piece and I reused some paint I had from a previous project. Here they are with one coat of glossy green goodness-
I used my lovely label maker to create labels for my 5 favorite subscriptions-
Here's the final grouping-
More pics to come soon, as they are part of a larger reveal:)
For $15, I've got plenty of storage for all my glossy page goodness and now my collection is perfectly organized. Gotta love that. -S
*in case you were wondering, my fave subscriptions are: Better Homes & Gardens, Elle Decor, Metropolitan Home, Traditional Home and Real Simple. And because you know I love a good deal, I got BH&G for $3 and RS for $5 for a year subscription through Amazon. The other 3 I got for free for filling out surveys online.
